NEHERA AW19

NEHERA Autumn/Winter’19

The NEHERA woman is an artist and this collection follows her from the moment of conception to completion of the garment. She invites the viewer to see her in process at the atelier. Channelling the spirits of Hannah Hoch and Emilie Flöge, she emerges from the studio, introducing the pieces that are curated in a bolder and a more structured façon.

As a result, the collection carries a more polished feel, with satin that softly drapes around the body. The woman also wears a dress in poplin or in viscose with an elegant sheen. Leather coats and aviator jackets add a degree of toughness, while sharp suits add a sense of formality. Wadded pieces create the volume around the body, while semi-sheer panelling on tops reveals some skin.

Made in Slovakia, a woven fabric is used across the collection, including on knee-high and mid-calf boots. Colourful graphics adorn the panelled jacquard knitwear and printed viscose. The colours evolve from blues, browns and honey, adding in orange, light blue and steel grey.

Finally,  Ondrej Rudavsky – a filmmaker, director and graphic designer- exclusively prepared graphic patterns for NEHERA autumn/winter 2019 collection. He’s worked on projects for Kanye West, Linkin Park, Black Eyed Peas and others.
